Intense launches INSlam - the next generation of digital printing technology
Munich, Germany, 13 June 2005~ Laser module platform improves energy delivery, cost efficiency and precision ~
Intense, a UK based global provider of laser array module solutions, has launched its INSlam platform to enable the next generation of digital printing technology. The module platform provides core advantages in performance, precision and cost over competing technologies.INSlam is a proven technology platform, which consists of individually addressable single mode laser arrays, drive electronics, optical monitoring and optics incorporated on a single platform within a small form-factor package. The result is improved energy delivery, better print quality and cost efficient solutions for the printing industry, which is worth £15 billion in the UK alone.
The core components of the platform consist of custom designed drive electronics, optics and individually addressable multi element laser arrays to create modules, which can be specifically tailored to customer applications. It can be used in a variety of digital printing applications including thermal printing, marking, coding and photographic.
The platform is unique due to the inclusion of Intense’s core Intellectual Property (IP) Quantum Well Intermixing.
