INSlam™ M Laser Array Modules

The Intense INSlam™ M family of products revolutionizes the delivery of laser energy, reducing complexity and delivering unrivalled cost savings and significant reliability increases for digital printing, CtP, industrial, and defense applications.

INSlam M modules are compact, flexible units with multiple high power optical outputs. The high performance and reduced form factor, combined with the affordability of an integrated multi-element system, make them an excellent choice for the most demanding applications. The modules have been used as a high power multi-emitter optical energy source for applications such as Computer-to-Plate (CtP) machines across the performance spectrum, materials processing and directed energy systems.

Features of the INSlam™ M Family

The INSlam™ M module contains individually addressable multimode laser arrays of up to 100 emitters on a single monolithic chip. This makes an affordable and simple way of integrating multiple laser emitters in a single module. It is available at any wavelengths from 800nm to 980nm to suit the specific application. Whatever wavelength is required, Intense's advanced Quantum Well Intermixing (QWI) process provides the reliability needed to meet market demands.

The module includes the laser array and, if required, drive electronics, optical monitoring, and micro and/or macro optics. This means a single compact unit can replace a much larger traditional sub-system. Power per emitter can be as high as 1W with all emitters on, giving better system performance.

The INSlam M can be custom designed to suit any application or system. Typical configurations include as a medium to long laser array on a cooled mounting block with specially designed optics and electronics and a sealing lid.
